About me
My name is Rosemary Babou and I am an English teacher in Greece. I grew up in both a Greek and an English environment since one of my parents is Greek and the other English. My mother is also an English teacher so it just seemed natural to follow her footsteps. I have been working since 2002 with learners of all ages including preschoolers, teenagers and adults.
I have a Celta degree and a Tesol Level 7.

The idea of “Play and Learn” was born in 2017 together with my first daughter. I wanted to create an environment where children could learn English in a fun creative way! It is a fact that babies can learn anything by exploring the environment around them. The first English Language School started its journey in 2020 and it was for children 2-5 years of age. I could see that it was easy for them to understand English from the first day as I engaged them in a lot of activities suitable for their age. Later, in 2023, I opened a new, bigger school where I could accompany students of all ages but kept on using the same method. Playing and enjoying oneself refers to all ages and not just young learners. As technology keeps evolving, we are at the point of forgetting the primary way of learning which is exploring.
Hands-on activities enhance learning by actively involving students in the learning process, leading to deeper understanding, improved retention, and the development of essential skills. Through direct experience, students can connect abstract concepts to the real world, fostering engagement and motivation.
